Prerequisites

Important: Wikidata items must be verifiable. Every statement you add should have a reference (URL source). Use inditrails.com pages as references throughout.

Step 1 — Create the Item

Navigate to New Item Creation

Go to: wikidata.org/wiki/Special:NewItem

You will see a form with fields for Label, Description, and Aliases.

Step 5 — Add References to Every Statement

For every statement you add, click "add reference" and use these URLs as sources:

For each reference, use property P854 (reference URL) and add the date retrieved using P813.

Step 6 — After Creating the Item

Record Your Q-Number

After saving, Wikidata will assign a Q-number (e.g. Q130123456). This is your permanent identifier.

Your Wikidata item URL will look like: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q[YOUR-NUMBER-HERE]
Save this Q-number! You'll need it to update inditrails.com in Step 7.

Step 7 — Update inditrails.com with Your Q-Number

Update same-as.json in the Airo Builder

Once you have your Q-number, go to the Airo Builder chat and send this message:

Message to send in Airo Builder chat: My Wikidata Q-number is Q[YOUR-NUMBER]. Please update same-as.json to replace the placeholder with the real Wikidata URL: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q[YOUR-NUMBER]

This will update the sameAs array in the Organization JSON-LD on every page of inditrails.com, which tells Google that inditrails.com and the Wikidata item refer to the same entity.

Step 8 — Claim Google Knowledge Panel

Wait for Google to Index the Wikidata Item

After creating the Wikidata item, Google typically picks it up within 2–6 weeks. You can speed this up by:

Claim the Knowledge Panel

Once a Knowledge Panel appears for "IndiTrails" in Google Search:

  1. Search "IndiTrails" on Google
  2. Scroll to the Knowledge Panel on the right side
  3. Click "Claim this knowledge panel" at the bottom
  4. Sign in with the Google account linked to inditrails.com's Google Search Console
  5. Verify ownership — Google will ask you to add a meta tag or HTML file to inditrails.com
  6. Once verified, you can edit the panel: add photos, correct info, add social links
Tip: The Google Business Profile (already connected ✅) significantly helps trigger the Knowledge Panel. Make sure the GBP name exactly matches "IndiTrails" — not "IndiTrails Group Co".

Once all steps are complete, this is what will push inditrails.com above inditrails.in:

Note on inditrails.in: The .in domain has local SEO advantage for Indian searches. The Wikidata + Knowledge Panel strategy specifically targets the brand name "inditrails" as a named entity, which Google resolves to the entity with the strongest knowledge graph signal — that will be inditrails.com once the Wikidata item is live.
